Shahawar Matin Siraj is a Pakistani-American who was convicted in 2006 of plotting to bomb the Herald Square subway station in Manhattan, New York. Siraj was arrested in 2004 and found guilty of terrorism conspiracy in ''U.S. v. Shahawar Matin Siraj'' (2006).〔(Bomber's family is detained ) The New York Sun〕 Siraj worked at an Islamic bookstore in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
